Quick poll: should there be a recorded vote?

ProveItNL, an independent volunteer group, is asking one question. It's not about whether the deal is good or bad. It's about whether MHAs should each go on the record.

Should the House of Assembly hold a recorded vote to approve or reject the final Churchill Falls and Gull Island Definitive Agreements between Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, Hydro-Québec and CF(L)Co, which would set Churchill Falls power terms to 2077 and Gull Island terms for 50 years from commercial operation, before they are signed?

This is an informal poll. Anyone who visits can answer, so it is not a scientific survey and it doesn't speak for the province.

The same person can answer again after 30 minutes or from another connection, so the totals can be inflated.

It is not the petition. Your answer is not a signature and will not be presented in the House of Assembly.

We don't ask for your name, email or postal code. We keep only the running totals and the date of the most recent answer. To limit repeat answers, the poll counts one answer every 30 minutes from the same internet connection, using a scrambled form of your address kept only in the server's memory. It is never saved, logged or linked to your answer, and people who share a connection share the wait. If the server hits a technical error, its system log may record the address, and that log is deleted within 14 days. Details are in the privacy notice.

Results will show once 25 people have answered.
